New Project: Ombepo Wind Power
We are pleased to announce that we are supporting a new carbon offsetting project in Namibia. The 10 MW Ombepo Wind project plays a vital role in transitioning Namibia to renewable energy. Located on the coast in the south of this West African country, Ombepo (which means wind in the local dialect) harnesses strong Atlantic Ocean winds to generate electricity that is fed into the national power grid. The project also provides energy self-sufficiency, improved infrastructure, and increased employment to the local area. Namibia Wind Power Project

Premium Project Update: Garo Cookstoves
Overcoming logistical hurdles and fostering community understanding, the Integrated Cookstove Project has emerged as a powerful example of how carbon financing can drive sustainable development. This initiative successfully introduced energy-efficient cookstoves, dramatically reducing reliance on firewood and leading to cleaner air, improved health, and a more empowered community. By actively engaging local technicians and youth throughout the process, the project bridged cultural divides and ensured successful adoption of the new technology.
